Medjimorec, Rita

Rita Medjimorec graduated from the Hochschule Mozarteum in Salzburg, receiving highest distinctions for both her teaching and soloist diplomas.  From 1973 she led a course for specially talented children at the Musikhochschule in Graz, where she also coached students as an accompanist and she continued this work at the University for Music in Vienna.  Her preference is for chamber music, playing in a piano-duo with her husband Hainz Medjimore and a duo with cellist Florian Kitt and as accompanist for singers in lieder recitals.  Since the early nineties she has premiered many works written by contemporary Austrian composers for the abilities of her duo with Florian Kitt.
