Kangutkar, Vijay

Vijay Kangutkar: born and brought up in Bombay, Vijay was introduced to Indian classical music from a young age.  At the age of thirteen he began taking vocal lessons from the late Pt. Tulsidas Charma but was soon drawn to tabla and studied under the direction of Shri Madhukar Kunkawalekar, a disciple of the great master Pt. Taranath Rao.  He holds a degree from Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya College in Maharashtra in India.  Vijay settled in Glasgow, Scotland.
