Jarvis, Caleb, 1904-1980
Composer and organist Dr Caleb Jarvis was, in 1953, appointed Director of the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales. From 1957 he was based in Liverpool where he was organist to the city and University of Liverpool, chorus master of the Liverpool Welsh Choral Union and the Rhyl Choral Society and founded the Liverpool Cecilia Choir.
