Hughes, Martin (piano)
Martin Hughes studied with Yvonne Lefebure in Paris, Lev Oborin in Moscow and also Wilhelm Kempff in Positano. He has appeared as soloist with many of the major orchestras, including televised appearances with the London Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestras. He broadcasts regularly for BBC Radio 3 and continental radio stations and teaches at the University of Surrey, where in 1979 he performed the 32 Beethoven sonatas in eight recitals. In 1987 he made his first tour of the United States.
