Hughes, Jill
Jill Hughes studied flute with John Francis at the Royal College of Music and Peter Lloyd at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She made her London debut at the Wigmore Hall in 1974 and played principal flute with the Ulster Orchestra in Belfast. Together with her husband Martin she was a founder member of the period instrument group 'Quadro Adriano' and has pursued a parallel career as a baroque flautist, playing with the Avison Baroque Orchestra and the Yorkshire Baroque Soloists.
