Higgins, Anna (see also Anna Jones)

Anna Higgins was brought up in Norwich where she began studying the flute at the age of eight with Maggie Teggan.  She studied Music at the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where she studied flute with David Nicholson.  After leaving college Anna pursued a career teaching and performing: playing regularly with One Voice, Camerata Scotland, The Brunel Ensemble and Virtusoi of London.  She has also done extra work with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and appeared as a guest player with the Hebrides Ensemble. Anna was B.Mus student at the Faculty of Music, University of Edinburgh in 1995, later married Nicholas Jones, and appears on this database as Anna Higgins and Anna Jones.
