Harpist and composer, b. Portsmouth
Studied under Bochsa and Labarre.
His elder brother was John Balsir Chatterton, English harpist and composer, b. Norwich 1802-04; d. London 1871, was Professor of harp at Royal Academy of Music, London and harpist to the Queen.
