Cameron, John, 1970-
John Cameron's early musical studies centred on violin and viola, first at the RSAMD Junior Department and then at St Mary's Music School, Edinburgh. He continued his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music with Simon Rowland-Jones and Nicholas Logie, leaving to pursue other interests in 1991. Having been offered the chance to work in Denmark as an accompanist, coach and conductor, John returned to the UK in 1996 to study piano accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 2014 he took over from Richard Beauchamp as Head of Keyboard studies at St Mary's Music School.
