Advance publicity for the series had advertised for this concert Orchestral Dances by Mozart and a Symphonic Prologue by Paul de la Torre alongside a flute sonata by General Reid.
The Reid flute sonata was programmed and there was an overture by Paul de la Torre, "Virgil" conducted by the composer.
The Symphony no. 4 by Brahms had originally been planned for the previous concert on 29th January 1925.
