Three Songs for voice, viola and piano
The first two songs were written in 1906 and are both original settings, the third, written in 1907 was composed as a song for high voice and piano with cello obbligato.
First performance was at the Broadwood Concert Rooms sung by Bridge's sister-in-law, Ivy Sinclair, and accompanied by Bridge himself. The viola part was played by Audrey Alston, who first introduced Bridge to his future pupil, Benjamin Britten.
