Ibler, Eric Fairbairn von, 1954-

Eric von Ibler was born in Edinburgh and studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.  In 1977 he was awarded scholarships for further study in London with Professor Roy Henderson and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Kammersängerin Emmy Loose.  He founded Schola Cantorum of Edinburgh in 1983, of which he is Artistic Director and was a lecturer in singing at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama from 1980 to 1997.
