St Kentigern Suite for string orchestra (1986)
1. Bird: Allegro moderato
2. Fish: Allegro delicato
3. Ring: Adagio
4. Bell: Quasi allegro maestoso
5. Tree: Adagio calmo
Commissioned by the Friends of Glasgow Cathedral, with the assistance of the Scottish Arts Council, as part of the celebrations to mark the 850th anniversary of the present cathedral.
The work, which is dedicated to Leonard Friedman, was first performed by the Scottish Ensemble, directed by Leonard Friedman, in Glasgow Cathedral in April 1986.
