Song: "Abendlied"

In March 1872, Novello, Ewer & Co. published Nos. 1 & 2 of six part-songs, op. 17,  "Abendlied" and "True love" for male voices, composed for and dedicated to the Edinburgh University Musical Society.   This may have been a re-arrangement of piece of the same name performed at the Reid Concert in 1866 or a completely new composition.
