"Coronach"
A description was printed in the review of the performance on 2 February, 1930: "a strange and highly individual composition having a true atmosphere of Celtic melancholy pervading it. Its tragic solemnity was heightened by the harp and the subtle use of a gong." (Edinburgh Evening Despatch, 3 February 1930)
