Assembly Rooms

The Assembly Rooms, George Street, Edinburgh, comprising the Ballroom and the Edinburgh Room opened on 11 January 1787 for the Caledonian Hunt Ball.

The Reid Concerts in 1841, 1842 and 1843 were held in the Ballroom, immediately above the front entrance on George Street.
