Stanzeleit, Susanne, c.1967-

German-born Susanne Stanzeleit studied with Leonid Kogan, Rosa Fain, Yfrah Neaman and Vesselin Paraschkevov and has been awarded first prize in numerous concerto competitions in Germany.  She formed a duo with Julian Jacobson in 1990 and they made their London debut at the Purcell Room in 1993.  In 1993 she was appointed guest teacher of violin and chamber music at the Welsh College of Music and Drama.  Susanne was leader of the Edinburgh Quartet from 1996 to 2002    She plays a violin by J.B. Guadagnini of 1773.
