Savage, Alastair, 1973-

Originally from Ayrshire, Alastair Douglas Savage is a prize-winning Scots fiddle player.  He studied violin at the RSAMD (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and at the Royal Academy of Music in London before joining the Scottish Ensemble.  Since 2000 he has been a member of the BBC Scottish Symphony Otchestra with whom he has toured extensively and he has also appeared as a soloist on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio Scotland.
