Rae, John, 1966-

JComposer and drummer ohn Rae was born in Edinburgh and at the age of 16 was awarded the accolade 'most promising drummer of the year' at the 1984 Edinburgh International Jazz Festival. For many years he was the resident drummer with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra.  His main project was the band 'Celtic Feet' and he has worked with Brian Kellock and Tommy Smith.  In 2008 he emigrated to Wellington, New Zealand.
