Norman, Lisa, 1985-

Lisa Norman was born in Hawick and completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Music at the University of Edinburgh.

She plays the French horn with local Edinburgh orchestras, completed a PhD at the University of Edinburgh on early orchestral horn technique, and has had her research on the history and acoustics of the Wagner tuba published in the Galpin Society Journal.

Lisa teaches horn and recorder to local Edinburgh schoolchildren, and in her spare time — as well as enjoying hill walking — she is attempting to master the early orchestral horn.
