Nex, Jenny, 1972-

Following her early education in Cambridge, Jennifer Susan Nex studied music at the University of Edinburgh, gaining an academic entrance scholarship, the Tovey Prize for Performance and a scholarship to continue her studies in historically informed performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.  She gained her MA in Museum and Gallery Management from City University in 1997 and her PhD entitled 'The Business of Musical-instrument Making in Early Industrial London' from Goldsmith's College in 2013.  Dr Jenny Nex is now the Curator of the Musical Instruments Collections at the University of Edinburgh, based at St Cecilia's Hall (MIMEd).
