McNaught, Graeme, 1959-

Graeme McNaught was born in Glasgow in 1959 and studied piano at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, the Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik, Munich and the Hochschule Mozarteum, Saltzburg.  A prizewinner at the RSAMD and the Terni International Piano Competition, he was the first winner of the Scottish Piano Competition in 1986.

The Scottish Piano Competition was established in tribute to Frederick Lamond, the legendary Scottish pianist and pupil of Liszt who gained international renown at the turn of the 19th/20th centuries.
