Marrion, Paul, 1948-2019
Double bass player Paul Marrion was born in Manchester.
Served as principal double bass of the Scottish National Orchestra in the 1970s before moving to the London Symphony Orchestra.
In 1993 he took up the position of principal double bass with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and retired in 2012.
