Mantle, Neil, 1951-
French horn player, conductor and teacher, Neil Mantle was born in Essex but has lived most of his life in Edinbugh.
He studied horn at the Royal Academy of Music.
Founded Scottish Sinfonia in Edinburgh in 1970.
Lives in Edinburgh with his wife, the pianist Gillian Gray.
Awarded an MBE in 2008 for services to music in Scotland.
