Jamieson, Nannie, 1904-1990
Nannie Jamieson studied violin and viola in Edinburgh and Berlin.
She was the first Organising Secretary of the European String Teachers Association, British Branch.
Viola player in the Robert Masters Quartet, The London Mozart Players and Menuhin Festival Orchestra
Professor of Viola at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, as well as teaching at Chetham's School, Manchester and Homerton College, Cambridge.
Fellow of the Guildhall School of Music and was awarded an MBE in 1981.
