Hilton, Janet
From the age of 18, when she won two important competitions, Janet Hilton has established herself as a leading British wind instrumentalist. Her career has taken her all over Europe and North America and composers who have written specially for her include Ian Hamilton, Edward Harper and John McCabe. For six years Janet was Principal Clarinet of the Scottish National Orchestra and taught at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.
