Edith Muriel Daphne Godson, b. 1932, Edinburgh

Virtuoso violinist and teacher, based in Edinburgh.  Daphne Godson won major prizes in Darmstadt and Brussels.  She was a soloist with the main Scottish orchestras and at one time, principal in both the Scottish Chamer Orchestra and Scottish Baroque Ensemble.  She occasionally played with the Scottish Early Music Consort and often played with the Reid Orchestra.
