b. Dessau 1823; d. Edinburgh 1860

Conductor of Gentleman's Amateur Concert Society concerts and in 1846 founded the male-voice choir Singverein, in Edinburgh.

Son of Carl Drechsler, (1800-1873) a famous violoncello player
