Deriemaeker, Stanislas,

Stanislas Deriemaeker was born in the Flemish Ardennes.  He finished his training at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent in 1956.  In 1961 he was awarded the Belgian government Virtuosity Prize for organ.  His career as an organist began in 1960 at St Joseph's and in 1962 he was appointed organist of the Cathedral of Our Lady. .  In 1995 and 1996 he served as Cultural Ambassador of Flanders, appointed by the Flemish Government.
