Mary Davies was a Welsh mezzo-soprano, born in London, who performed regularly with the Hallé Orchestra at their Thursday concerts in Manchester between Jan 1879 and Nov 1888 (26 occasions)

Mary Davies studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London and was co-founder and first president of the Welsh Folk Song Society.
