Carpenter, Stephen, 1957-

Violoncellist and student at the Faculty of Music, University of Edinburgh in the late 1970s who graduated in 1980.

Pursued a career as an orchestral administrator with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the City of London Sinfonia.  Spent eight years as Chief Executive of The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment from 2007 to 2014.
