Borwick, Leonard, 1868-1925
Leonard Borwick (26 February 1868 – 15 September 1925) was an English concert pianist especially associated with the music of Schumann and Brahms.
Friend of Donald Francis Tovey
Honorary member of the Bach Society in Edinburgh which was established in the city in 1889. On 23 March 1896, Leonard Borwick contributed to a meeting of the Society at which he performed two preludes and fugues (the report in The Musical Times does not indicate which they were), the C minor Partita and (with Colin McKenzie on violin), the sonata in E for violin and pianoforte.
