Andrievsky, Alexandra, 1963-

Born in Kiev, Ukraine to a family of musicians. 
Alexandra started piano lessons with her mother, the pianist Irina Zaritskaya, at the age of eight.

In 1972 her family emigrated to Israel.  Thereafter she studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey, UK, at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv University and at the Royal College of Music in London.  She gained scholarships from the Martin Trust and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.

Alexandra has appeared at Summer Festivals across Europe and from 1988 was a regular visitor to the Schleswig-Holstein Festival in German as one of the resident pianists. 
In 1992 she was based in Edinburgh, performing as a soloist and chamber musician, teaching at the Music School of Douglas Academy in Milngavie, Glasgow and was married to the pianist Peter Evans.
