Allsop, Christopher

Christopher Allsop ws born and brought up in London.  At the time of his 1993 concert in Edinburgh he was eighteen year old, Organ Scholar at St George's Chapel, Windosor ad about to take up an Organ Scholarship Trinity College, Cambridge, where he studied Music and graduated in 1996.

In October 1990 Christopher was a prizewinner in the first British Gas young Organist of the Year Competition and in 1992 he won the competition.  He studied the organ with Richard Dunster-Sigtermans, lain Simcock and David Sanger.   He took up the post of assistant organist at Worcester Cathedral in 2004.
