Scottish Ensemble

The UK's only professional string orchestra is based in Glasgow and built around a core of 12 outstanding string players who performe under Artistic Director Jonathan Morton.  The Ensemble has commissioned new works from composers such as John Tavener, James MacMillan, Sally Beamish and Luke Bedfordand worked with guest artists including trumpeter Alison Balsom, tenor Toby Spence and cellist Pieter Wispelwey.
