Quatuor Diotima

Quatuor Diotima, founded by graduates of the Paris and Lyon Conservatoires, was awarded first prize at the FNAPEC Competition, Paris in 1999 and the Contemporary Music Prize at the London String Quartet Competition in 2000. It takes its name from a piece by Luigi Non 'Fragmente-Stille, an Diotima', thereby affirming the members' commitment to the music of our time.  Quatuor Diotima celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2016.
Quatuor Diotima is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Communication/Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles Centre-Val de Loire, by Région Centre-Val de Loire, and receives regularly the support of French Institut, Spedidam, Musique Nouvelle en Liberté, Fonds pour la Création Musicale, Adami, as well as private sponsors.
