Postcards from Europe

Postcards from Europe, violin and piano duo, specialises in researching and playing virtuoso gypsy music and works by composers, all of whose lives were affected by the Rise of the Third Reich: those who became émigrés such as Hans Gal, Bela Bartok, Mieczslaw Weinberg and Alexander Semlinsky and others including Erwin Schulhoff and Robert Dauber who perished in concentration camps.

Marianne Olyver - violin
  Studied with Max Rostal, Yirah Neaman, Alfredo Campoli and Emanuel Hurwitz, CBE.
Robert Schuck (1955-2013) - piano
  Studied with Peter Gellhorn at the Royal Academy of Music, and achived a BA in Music King's College, London
Dominic John - piano
  Studied at the Royal College of Music with John Barstow and Andrew Ball.
