Boreus Double Reed Ensemble

This Ensemble, based in Edinburgh, came into being in 2006 to perform as part of the Edinburgh 'Wind and Fire' concert, now an annual invitation.  They have played in a variety of venues across southern Scotland and were invited in 2009 to perform at the International Double Reed Society's conference in Birmingham, UK.  The sextet has a unique combination of insruments comprising all four members of the Oboe family, Bassoon and Contrabassoon.  They play a range of arrangements and original works for Reed Ensemble by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Ravel, Gershwin and Piazzolla.
