Sypert summer concert
Venue: St Cecilia's Hall
Dr George and Dr Joy Sypert are both neurosurgeons by profession and share a love of early music with a long held interest in harpsichords. It was while searching for such an instrument that they discovered St Cecilia's Hall and the Collection of early keyboard instruments at the University of Edinburgh. As soon as they saw St Cecilia's Hall they thought 'this is a really special place'. Their early support of the hall was to fund some of the essential renovation work required to preserve the collection. The Syperts are delighted that the University works hard to attract interesting musicians from all over Europe and the Hall is the venue for some incredible performances. They are delighted to support a series of summer concerts at St Cecilia's Hall each year and have also given their name to the main concert hall.
