[Reid] Lunch-hour concert

A series of free lunch-hour concerts was introduced on Tuesdays in October 1981 and the Thursday evening concerts were gradually phased out.
Chamber concerts are usually given on Tuesdays at 1.10 pm with the organ recitals continuing on Fridays, although in recent years sometimes chamber concerts are given on Tuesdays, Thursdays and/or Fridays.  
The lunch-hour concerts are scheduled to run from 1.10 pm until 1.55 pm to allow students and staff to get back to classes or meetings at 2.00 pm. 

Usually held in the Reid Concert Hall sometimes these concerts are given in St Cecilia's Hall, City of Edinburgh Methodist Church, McEwan Hall, Greyfriars Kirk or Playfair Library.
