'Con Brio'

Tonight's programme offers a fascinating variety of 18th-century music, as well as some from more recent times; the title of the concert, Con Brio, suggests the exciting and dynamic qualities of the repertoire.  Some is given in the form of arrangements, a common 18th-century practice, and a variety of instruments will be heard, including early clarinets of various types.
