Symposium on the Clavichord: Friday 27 to Sunday 29 October 2006 at St Cecilia's Hall

This clavichord symposium weekend will mark the arrival of the Rodger Mirrey Collecton of Early Keyboard Instruments to the University of Edinburgh.  The Mirrey Collection features three important clavichords, which are added to the six already in the University Collection; the concerts shall feature a variety of these instruments including a small fretted clavichord of circa 1620, likely to the oldest surviving north-European-built clavichord.
