Sidney Newman Concert - 80 years since his appointment
Concert marking 80 years since the appointment of Sidney Newman (1906-1971) as Reid Professor of Music (1941-1970) and 50 years since his death. Professor Newman was instrumental in the acquisiton of the Raymond Russell Collection of early keyboard instruments and the establishment of St Cecilia's Hall as a musical instrument museum.
