This concert is presented in tribute to the memory of Sir Donald Francis Tovey, Reid Professor of Music 1914-1940, Founder and Conductor of the Reid Symphony Orchestra 1916-1940.

4. Finale: presto alternating with quotations from previoius movements leading to allegro assai. Resumption of presto and intervention of baritone solo followed by chorale finale (setting of Schiller's "ode to Joy")
