The first half of this programme, the Symphony by Donald Francis Tovey was broadcast live on the BBC wireless, Scottish programme, 391.1m, at 8 pm on Thursday 25 February 1937   Recording available on  Tovey Symphony in D
It was publicised and featured in the Radio Times, issue dated, 19 February 1937: "Reid Orchestral Concert, Sir Donald F. Tovey will conduct his own Symphony in D tonight at 8.0"   The broadcast of the concert was preceded at 7.45 pm by an "Introductory talk to the Reid Orchestral Concert by Mary Grierson"
