Concert in memory of Sam Hutchings

Sam Hutchings was born in Edinburgh in November 1982 and was educated at Edinburgh Academy where his piano teacher was Heida Hallgrimsson.  In 2003 he graduated with a first class degree in Music from Christ Church, Oxford.  Sam them built up an enviable reputation both as a solo pianist and particularly as an accompanist of quite outstanding sensitivity.  He was rehearsal pianist to the Edinburgh Festival Chorus, the RSNO Chorus and Junior Chorus, and for NYCOS.  Sam died on 29 June 2012 at the tragically early age of 29.
