Programme notes by P.W. [Peter Williams] including important comments on Bach and performance practice.
Promoter:
It was advertised in the 1963-64 concert brochure that Dr Peter Williams would give the recital on a Kirckman harpsichord and a Baker Harris spinet, both from the 1770s (possibly one of the Kirckman instruments and the Baker Harris spinet now in MIMEd - Musical Instrument Museum, Univesity of Edinburgh). No mention is made of the instruments in the programme itself. It is now believed that the concerto in G (?after Vivaldi) was originally written by Prince Johann Ernst of Saxe-Weimar.
