Music of the Month - Edinburgh
"Professor Niecks has just begun what will undoubtedly prove a series of delightful historical concerts of string quartet music.  The opening concert was devoted to Haydn and Mozart, the performers being the professor himself, Messrs J. F. Guyer, Colin McKenzie and Grant T. McNiell.  The annotated programme proved helpful and interesting though at first it looked suspiciously like the "Monthly Visitor" which benevolent ladies sometimes thrust upon us."
