Miss Jacobson gave a lecture-recital in advance of the concert at 7 pm in the Reid Concert Hall.  This Northern Scholars Committee lecture-recital was given to mark a series of publications by Miss Jacobson concerning the art of musical rhetoric, particularly in vocal and keyboard music of the 17th century.
