Fourth in a series of six concerts entitled 'Bach at St Cecilia's Hall', given mostly at St Cecilia's Hall in the summer of 1979.

"Upright wherein the lovers of the harpsichord, and especially those desirous of learning, are shown a clear way not only to learn to play clearly in two parts, but also after further progress to deal correctly and well with three obbligato parts; furthermore, at the same time not only to have good inventiones but to develop the same well, and above all to arrive at a singing style in playing and at the same time to acquire a strong foretaste of composition".
