Concert reviewed in 'The Scotsman', 14 February 1865, p. 2.
On this occasion, Herr Wedemeyer, instead of repeating the (Reid) march in answer to the encore which it received, played another of the General's compositions' (no information given).
Report ends with 'We cannot close this hurried notice without congratulating Professor Donaldson on the concert of last night which was unquestionably the best which has been given in connection with the Music Chair for many years'.
